other acute clinics and settings. Melinda holds a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Memphis and a Bachelor's Degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Mississippi.

 

Melinda, who lives in Panola county with her husband, Daniel and their three children, knew from her teenage years that owning and growing her own therapy clinic was her career aspiration.

Melinda is licensed by the Mississippi Department of Health and the Mississippi Department of Education. She holds a national certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. 

Panola Speech Therapy is a speech and language therapy clinic designed to improve function, help build confidence, provide proven therapy techniques, and help you optimize the gift of communication. We provide therapeutic services within the clinic, home and school environments. Our goal is to optimize each patient’s function based upon their individual needs.

Panola Speech Therapy was created based upon a shared vision of partnering with families in order to provide a respectful and nurturing environment where families can blossom and support each other in their common experiences. It is our commitment to provide the highest quality speech intervention services for pediatric and adult patients.

Our teaching philosophy combines the principles of sensory system needs, along with the knowledge of how children and adults develop and learn across the five domains (gross motor, fine motor, cognition, language and social). Our approach is a holistic one that focuses on each patient's individual needs.

We take a personal approach with each patient. We consult with you during the initial evaluation, and continue to partner with you during the treatment process. We provide treatment strategies and home programming to ensure that optimal progress is achieved and therapy is most beneficial.
